Everyone is an artist, being an artist is a state of mind. Creativity can sometimes take bravery, other times it feels like the simplest thing in the world.

Dan Percy is a Photographic Artist based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. Primarily working with arranged objects to create abstract pieces or capturing the urban and natural environments.

With my work I am looking for interesting patterns in anything and everything that surrounds me. Light and shadow is my favourite effect to play with. Some subjects are observed, some heavily curated.

The constant theme in my work is the avoidance of perfection, even when the subject is something I have created. I don’t think there is such a thing as a perfect image, I just want to find what feels right.
